About Hydrosphere Restoration Pros in Katy, TX
A phone that gets answered at any hour, an insured crew that measures before it cuts, and records your adjuster can actually use.
What Hydrosphere Restoration Pros is
Hydrosphere Restoration Pros is an answering and dispatch service for water, sewage, mold and fire damage in Katy and the communities around it: Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Brookshire, Mission Bend and Richmond. When you call, a live person answers, figures out what kind of damage you have, and sends an insured restoration crew that handles that kind of job.
Hydrosphere Restoration Pros connects you with independent, insured restoration technicians who perform the work. The crew that comes to your home is responsible for the work it performs, and you approve its scope before anything past emergency protection begins.
We started with a simple observation about this market. Katy's restoration results are crowded with franchises, national call centers and throwaway pages that promise 30-minute arrivals and “$0 out of pocket.” Homeowners deserve a plainer deal: an honest answer on the phone, a crew that explains what it finds, and no promises that fall apart when the adjuster shows up.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Water damage keeps no schedule. Attic water heaters fail overnight, pipes split during a thaw, and sewer lines back up in the middle of a storm. A live person answers (831) 303-1192 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. What that promise means: your call is answered, you get safe first steps, and dispatch starts on that call. What it does not mean: a guaranteed arrival time. After a named storm, demand outruns every crew in the Houston area, so we tell you the expected timing honestly instead of quoting a number.
Licensing and insurance, stated plainly
Every restoration technician we send is licensed where Texas requires it, and insured. That wording is deliberate. Texas has no state license for water or fire restoration and no statewide general contractor license, so a company claiming a “Texas restoration license” is claiming something that does not exist. Industry standards such as the IICRC S500 for water damage and S520 for mold describe how the work should be done; ask any technician which training they hold and check it yourself.
Mold is the exception. Under Texas Occupations Code chapter 1958, remediating 25 contiguous square feet or more of mold requires a mold remediation contractor licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), and the same license holder may not both assess and remediate one project. So we do not offer mold testing, and we send mold remediation work only to TDLR-licensed remediators. You can verify any mold license on the TDLR license search. Our mold remediation page explains the full process.
How dispatch works
- 1You call and tell us what you see. If water is still running, we walk you through the shut-off and the breaker first.
- 2We match the job (clean-water leak, flood, sewage, mold or fire) to an insured crew that handles that work and is closest to your address.
- 3You hear the expected timing on the call. If a storm has every crew booked, we say so.
- 4The technician inspects, maps moisture, photographs the damage and explains the scope before work goes beyond emergency protection.
- 5The crew extracts, removes what cannot be saved, sets drying equipment and returns to take readings until materials reach dry targets.
What you get for your insurance claim

We document; your insurer decides. Texas law bars contractors from waiving or rebating your deductible and from acting as a public adjuster on a job they are repairing, so we don't negotiate your claim and we won't offer deductible “help.” What we do provide is the record an adjuster needs:
- Photos and video of the source and every affected room, taken before cleanup changes anything
- The water category (1, 2 or 3) and why the crew assigned it
- A moisture map showing where materials read wet, with the meter readings
- Daily drying logs: readings, humidity, and the equipment on site each day
- Photos of anything removed (drywall, pad, baseboards, insulation) and why it came out
- An itemized scope that separates emergency mitigation from any rebuild work
- A final set of readings showing materials reached their dry targets

Built around Katy houses
Most homes here were built in the last 25 years, on slab foundations over clay, with water heaters and air handlers in the attic of two-story plans. The area flooded in Harvey, froze in February 2021 and lost power for days after Beryl. Those events shape what fails and how it dries, and every page on this site is written around them. See the areas we serve or start with water extraction and structural drying.
